Although we image the Baron Harkonen ( Stellan Skarsgard) may stick a little bit closer to character in the book. The dialogue also suggests Villeneuve will be less precious about the sound of Herbert’s characters. ![]() The images are stunning - in fact, they have the feel of 1970s science fiction paintings. Paul is asleep and dreams of a girl who makes a request before the vision ends: “Tell me of your homeworld, Usul.” Reversing the dream in on itself, the trailer for Denis Villeneuve‘s new attempt at bringing Dune to the screen uses the moment as a chance for Chani ( Zendaya) to tell Paul ( Timothée Chalamet) - and the audience - about the state of play on her world, Arrakis … also known as Dune. Readers of Frank Herbert‘s Dune (or fans of David Lynch‘s film version) know the moment.
